Hi, on the latest iPhone 3.1 download you have the ability to play the podcasts on fast forward. If you look to the top right of your screen under the time remaining on the podcast you have a 1x, 2x or 1/2x I'm guessing you probably have it at 2x at the moment, simply press it again to go back to 1x and all should be good with you again.
